About us
Masjid Al-Noor serves the Muslim community in Kilmarnock and across East Ayrshire. We are open for the five daily prayers, Jumu'ah, and events throughout the year, and everyone is welcome to visit.
Our history
The mosque began in 1998 in a rented flat on John Finnie Street. In 2012 the community bought and restored the former church hall that is our home today.
Our imam
Imam Abdullah Rahman studied in Bradford and Cairo. He leads Jumu'ah, teaches the evening madrasah and is available for advice after Maghrib.
Trustees
The mosque is run by a board of five trustees elected by the community every three years.
